Around the World!

It's been forever since my last post,

A couple of weekends ago, a couple friends and I went and saw a Daft Punk Tribute band at Ritual Night Club! it was sick. It was a 10-piece finger lickin great group. From synth to trumpets they had it all, oh and vocals too. As you would expect they sounded just like the real deal. They played all the big hits. The dance floor was bumpin but it was also great to just listen to their jams. I really enjoyed the two trumpets on stage, they were so in sync it blew my mind. I favour the trumpets because I used to play trumpet, and not to "tute" my own horn, was pretty good.

I don't go to many concerts. I've seen a couple huge names such as The Stones, Paul McCartney, Matte Mayes, and Plaskett (shoutout to Dartmouth, Darkside!). This concert wasn't so much about the experience, it was all about the music. I wouldn't want their autographs but I would definitely buy their CD. So my point is, if you get a chance to see this tribute band, which is based out of T-Dot, DO IT. It was cheap too ($12 a ticket). On to a different genre, if you haven't already heard Joel Plaskett's latest album "Three", check it out and buy that too.

Another shoutout is in order, Thanks to Katie Mortimer who invited me to the show, otherwise I probably wouldn't have gone.

Stay Fresh,

Colin
